Autumn conversations with Design Assembly

design assembly autumn conversationsItching for a bit of creative stimulation? Come along to the next Design Assembly speaker evening for a drink and a chat with fellow graphic designers.

You'll get to hear from Hayley King (aka Flox, previously profiled in Idealog), Luke Wood from Head Full of Snakes and The National Grid (who's flying up from Christchurch) and Sally Greer from Beatnik.

They'll each be covering different ground: Flox will discuss the art of business (and art can be a business), Wood – a graphic designer and musician currently living in and around the rubble of Christchurch and recent recipient of an AGDA Award and Gold Best Award – will discuss his motorcycle magazine, while Greer will speak to her personal experience as an introvert running a business and being a creative director.

Tickets are $15 via Eventbrite.

When: 6-8pm March 20

Where: BizDojo Co.Space, Basement Level, 155 K Rd, Auckland

Idealog has been covering the most interesting people, businesses and issues from the fields of innovation, design, technology and urban development for over 12 years. And we're asking for your support so we can keep telling those stories, inspire more entrepreneurs to start their own businesses and keep pushing New Zealand forward. Give over $5 a month and you will not only be supporting New Zealand innovation, but you’ll also receive a print subscription and a copy of the new book by David Downs and Dr. Michelle Dickinson, No. 8 Recharged (while stocks last).
