A quick word with... jewellery designer Nikki Partridge

A quick word with... jewellery designer Nikki Partridge

Her family's been in the jewellery business for decades, but Nikki Partridge only recently turned her hand to designing her own unique range, Halo – fronted by Gin Wigmore.

nikki partridge jewellery designerMy first job was... folding brochures.

And now the title on my business card is... Jewellery Designer.

Which really means...
I have the easiest job in the world.  I simply make the most beautiful materials look good.

My day starts with… putting on some music and comfortable clothes and feeding my little bird Jack.

And ends with… A full tummy and blissfully warm bed.

And in between, I… design, make, study, research, dream up new business ideas, do yoga, meet clients, see family and friends and drink a lot of tea.

My first artistic memory is...
my very first memory!  My childhood is a blur of paint, pencils, paper, chalk, felts, playdough and forts.

If I wasn't doing this, I'd ...
be a painter and explore the world.

I'm inspired by…  Travel, art and the honesty and enthusiasm of my five-year-old niece Eden.

I can't live without...
Family, freedom and creativity.

True 'style' is... Being natural.

Nikki Partridge is a jewellery designer and sixth-generation at Partridge Jewellers
