The event has returned to its traditional September / October season,
running from Thursday September 27 – Sunday October 7, with the
awards night being held on Friday September 28.
It's a breathtaking two-hour spectacular of art, theatre, dance, and music, where designs from around the world are brought to life.
The show will be held at TSB Bank Arena, Queens Wharf, Wellington.
2012 WOW GARMENT SECTIONS:
Children's Section. Designers are asked to create a garment that transforms with an element of surprise.
Open Section. Gives the designer complete freedom in concept, construction and materials.
Illumination Illusion Section. Designers to create a work of art that glows under ultraviolet light.
Avant Garde Section. Designers create a wearable collision of art and fashion, driven by dreams and fantasies, not commercial reality.
Creative Excellence Section. Design a work of art that makes sound and will be choreographed to a music score.
Bizarre Bra Section. Self-explanatory really.
South Pacific Section. Garments celebrate what it is like to live in New Zealand and the South Pacific.
