Cardboard cans. Whatever next?

Cardboard cans. Whatever next?

Trust the Germans to come up with eco-friendly ways to enjoy a cold one.

Keienburg GmbH has reinvented the wheel with a can that offers a cheaper, greener alternative to aluminum - cardboard.

The new cardboard cans are suitable for most canned liquids, including beer, juice and coffee.

Current lines will only need small modifications to use the new material.

Other benefits to manufacturers include reduced storage and transportation costs - and consumers win too, as their fizzy stays colder for longer in a cardboard can.
