The Tintin experience just got even better for fans – HarperCollins Publishers, Weta and Moulinsart have collaborated on an app to let viewers immerse themselves into Hergé's rich fictional world.
‘The Art of The Adventures of Tintin’ for iPhone and iPad was created to accompany the launch of the film The Adventures of Tintin.
It was released yesterday in New York and includes the entire text of the book that inspired the film, plus visual, audio and video enhancements.
The app is the first of its kind, featuring 360° turnaround characters, video clips and exclusive new content.
Readers are able to see the transformation of concept illustrations into final shots in the film and listen to the artists and filmmakers, including Oscar winner Joe Letteri, discuss the movie.
Moulinsart has also contributed an introductory chapter from author Hergé. For the first time fans will be able to see footage of Hergé working in his studio, as well as concept art and interactive features.
HarperCollins developed the app to give users a glimpse into Hergé’s artwork, and the book's journey into a 3D blockbuster film.
