You might remember a while back we featured this rather sweet and very clever video about a guitar-wielding Apache. Created using animation, motion graphics and a touch of live action, the video was directed by 2D animator Ned Wenlock of small Wellington-based commercial production company HoverLion. Having already played at the Melbourne International Film Festival, the video continues to rack up international attention with its official selection to onedotzero festival in London.
Onedotzero's festival showcases the most progressive and innovative audio visual work from around the world and has championed the work of then unknown visionaries like Spike Jonze, Chris Cunningham and Jonathan Glazer.
Along with the Melbourne International Film Festival, to date the video has made appearances at Fantoche, Promax BDA (where it was selected by Motionographer to play in a group ‘Best of the Year’) Supertoon, Silhouette Short film festival and The Wassaic Project. It will also feature in IdN magazine's upcoming 'Best of the Year' issue.
The video is already featured on the Onedotzero homepage where it’s received 7,746doses of love and 288 comments from enthused viewers — some of which even dropped their jaws to the floor, apparently.Apache
