Clean and crisp Waiheke design

Check out this funky and clean interior design for the recently opened Wai Kitchen restaurant on Waiheke Island. Having recruited Paul Izzard Design for the interior of their renowned Teed Street Larder café in Auckland’s New Market last year, clients Steve and Sarah Vanderput once again got Paul Izzard Design on board for this island venture. 

Director Paul Izzard says the main design que from the client was the clean crisp Icebergs Dining Room and Bar restaurant in Sydney’s Bondi.  

Describing it as a “solid and contempory design package”, Izzard says the warm and natural finishes of Wai Kitchen are directly inspired by the island, while the sea front setting provided the inspiration for the feel of the space.
