Here’s your chance to swim in an ocean of creativity. WWF-New Zealand has launched a competition that seeks to harvest the creative juices of New Zealanders in a way that demonstrates a passion for Enzed’s mighty oceans.
The competition—‘Ocean:Views’—is calling for people to submit creative works celebrating New Zealand's oceans and our connection with them, through creative works in any of the following four categories—music, creative writing, short film, and visual art (including, but not limited to, photography, illustration, graphic design and multimedia). And for your idyllic talents, you could snap up the grand prize of a trip for two to the Pacific Islands to witness ocean wildlife—from whales to seabirds to turtles.
“We are launching Ocean:Views to celebrate New Zealand's unique and diverse oceans, and our special connection with them,"
The winners of the competition will be announced at a special celebratory event on World Oceans Day (8 June 2011), before the short-listed and winning works are exhibited throughout the country.
To launch the competition, a giant frame was planted on Wellington’s waterfront and will randomly makes its way across different New Zealand locations.
