While the organisers of Christchurch's Pecha Kucha night had all the good intentions to progress with the event as planned, the decision has been made to postpone this Thursday's event.
“There is no evidence of structural damage to Canterbury Museum following Saturday’s earthquake and subsequent aftershocks. At this stage only minimal damage has occurred to the collections and a full assessment will be carried out once staff return to work. It is hoped that the Museum will re-open to the public on Wednesday. We understand that the assessment will take time and the space we were going to be using for PechaKucha Night Christchurch 09 is needed during this process.” says Pecha Kucha’s Vanessa Coxhead.
All tickets purchased from the Museum Store will be refunded but this may take a couple of weeks as the Museum is currently closed.
We’ll be sure to announce the rescheduled date for the event as soon as it's announced.
