In the latest case of a Kiwi buyout, Christchurch IT company Emendo is being acquired by Fortune 500 business McKesson.

Founded in 2002 by Nick Burns and Bart Visscher, Emendo enables more than 40 hospitals throughout New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the UK to forecast patient demand and plan resourcing.

McKesson said Emendo's CapPlan software was a natural extension of its own Enterprise Intelligence and Workforce Management Solutions suites.
