Attention young entrepreneurs: Workshop Series begins this Thursday

“Young Aucklanders are connected, ambitious and have the drive to succeed,” says Edward McKnight, vice president of Auckland Young Professionals.

“There is a market need to help facilitate young Aucklanders’ personal and professional growth.”

“We aspire to be the connector between graduates leaving university and professional organisations for established professionals,” he says.

To that end, the Workshop Series are an opportunity for up-and-coming business people to acquire new skills via a variety of express workshops with leading business people in Auckland, gain insights, inspiration and knowledge on hot topics from the business world, and mingle with other innovative, young and enthusiastic people.

“By facilitating events where these members can connect with one another, we are working towards a more diverse, better connected Auckland,” says McKnight.

Tangible Media publisher-at-large, and co-founder of Idealog, Stoppress, The Register, and The Innovator Awards, Vincent Heeringa, will be speaking at the first event and covering a lot of ground, including start-ups, flourishing in a time of disruption and his latest project, content agency business, Narrative.

Each event is limited to 50 attendees and the ticket price includes access to the workshop, a drink and nibbles.

Each workshop will be $20, or subscribe to all four of the workshops for just $60.
