By day, Andrew Smith is creative director at Dave Clark Design Associates. Outside of hours he snaps photos and digitally processes them in Lightroom. He shares his techniques via PDF tutorials available to buy on his website, www.cubagallery.co.nz. His images have clocked up millions of views on flickr and have featured in magazines, books and album covers AJP313 all over the world—and he’s currently in talks with a tech über-corporate about licensing his images. What began as just a hobby, without any painful brainstorming, murderboarding or nutshelling, has the potential to grow into a nice sideline, or even more. It’s a better way of thinking of work–life balance.
