Ideabloggin’
By Matt Cooney,
I’m not a believer in New Years resolutions, but finding myself in 2006 did remind me that I promised a lot of people we’d launch a website ... er ... last year. Here it is. Welcome!
Don’t expect a rehash of Idealog magazine here. We will be progressively placing articles online — we’ve started with two features and notes from the Editor and founders — but we plan initially to use the site to write about things that don’t fit well into a print format and, most of all, to encourage feedback and conversation through our blogs. We welcome your comments on the site (and your letters in print).
We’ll also be posting the occasional Web exclusive. The first is a list of the best of the new Web, written by Wellington analyst and blogger Richard MacManus . Check out also the track listing of the excellent Independents Day CD that is bundled free with Idealog #1 — sixteen slices of prime, independent New Zealand music.
Of course, this is just a beginning. We have many more features that we plan to roll out online during the year — but leave a comment below if there’s something you’d like to see.
At this point our brand spanking new magazine has been on bookshelves for almost four weeks. Idealog #2 will be out next month. In the meantime, we’ll be right here.
